The Traditional Latin Mass comes to Iowa!
Did you know that the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is offered every Sunday according to the ancient form of the Roman Rite in two locations in the Diocese of Davenport, Iowa?
Cardinal Antonio Cañizares, the Prefect of the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments -- the head of liturgy for the Catholic Church -- has called the Traditional Latin Mass "a rite that has nourished spiritually the Church in the West for centuries" and "a treasure that is the heritage of all and to which, in one way or another, everyone should have access."
How can you have access to this treasure of the faith? Mass times and locations are as follows:

Sugar Creek: Mass is at 1:00 pm on 3rd Sundays. Location: Ss. Mary and Joseph Parish, 3218 110th St., Preston
Cedar Rapids: Mass is every Sunday at 7:00am. Location: St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, 1224 5th St. SE in Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52401 (map link).
Peoria: Mass is every Sunday at 9:30 am. Location: St. Joseph's Parish, 103 Richard Pryor Place (map link).
